Lemon Cake

A rich and zesty lemon cake with a sweet lemon glaze for a refreshing and delicious treat.

Ingredients

Cake

flour 1 lb
butter or margarine 1 lb
sugar 1 lb
eggs 8 pieces
rind of lemons 3 pieces
baking powder 1 Tbsp
vanilla extract 2 tsp

Lemon Glaze

confectioners sugar 1 lb
lemon juice 2 pieces

Instructions

Cake Preparation

Mix all ingredients together to form the cake batter.

Spread the batter into a greased rectangular baking tin (13x9 inches).

Bake at 325°F (160°C) for about 30 minutes or until done.

Lemon Glaze Preparation

Mix the confectioners sugar with the lemon juice to create the glaze.

Spread the glaze over the cooled cake.
