Chocolate Raisin Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Beat the butter with the sugar and vanilla extract until creamy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.

Mix the dry ingredients into the butter-sugar mixture, alternating with the milk.

Fold in the raisins.

Grease two 9-inch round baking pans and dust with flour.

Pour the batter evenly into the pans.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Beat the butter until soft.

Add the confectioners sugar and cocoa powder, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract.

Beat until the frosting is creamy and smooth.

Spread a layer of frosting on top of one cake layer, then sprinkle with raisins.

Place the second cake layer on top and cover with the remaining frosting.

Garnish with raisins on top.
